Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements.

Are the Heartsaver courses right for me? Heartsaver courses are ideal for workforce employees (for example construction, childcare, health & fitness, hospitality, and more) or for those who want to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

This course teaches first aid basics, medical emergencies, Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies and environmental emergencies. It also teaches Adult CPR and AED use, preventing illness and injury and has optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR.

This course can be completed in approximately 2 ¼ hours (including optional lessons and breaks).

Upon Completion a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion e card is provided and valid for two years
